attachment

i'm an art student for my elective. recently we handed in our coursework art pieces. i think there were about six choices. i chse the title 'attachment', the only one who did. the rest of the art students chose 'flora and fauna'. i was something different. my final piece sucked. i had my painting abilities to thank. unlike me, ben who was a natural talent in painting had his work done beautifully. my work would be marvelous if he was the one who painted. well here is how my final design was thought of.

this are the two people. my attachment is based on emotional attachment, a relationship. the guy, is drawn based on my facial features, editted to the very best of my abilities. if i drew exactly of my own facial features, id probably be slapped with an F9. (:

and this is the girl. i drew her earlier this year. i decided to give her a name. ' Lara' felt nice for me. i feel i could have done better. i love the alignments of the hair. my friends thought it was a nice picture, some saying its my dream girl and all. hahaha. samihah called her Lady of Light, when there was once when it was on my MSN nick. its beautiful to me. id really hope to see someone as beautiful.

and this is how it all began. it never was my intention to use it for my art work. it felt ridiculous to me.it was a mere 'doodle' to begin with if you may call it. i drew it out fun and put no serious effort to it. but after promptings from my art teachers and fatimah, i did use it. and eventually it was a big part in my art work. thanks, women. hahaha. its a sweet picture. i drew it with no picture reference, thats what makes all of them special.the pose is at the centre of my canvas, with other pictures of different poses. they dont seem so nice here, but ive editted some to make them look nicer. they'll be uploaded soon hopefully. ( i talk as if ANYONE sees my blog. hardly ANYONE knows of my blog. hahaha, how ridiculous.) i guess its that nice to be used.

thank God for that.

art is vision. this is me and fatimah having our hands bonded in the form of a heart (if you can spot it). apparently, julyanna and ezzat's hands could not achieve this great figure. hahaha, but they posed for me the other poses i needed to draw. thanks wonderful people who came, that little razi too.

the whole idea is inspired by a song called 'Photos of Us' Plainsunset. it is a wonderful song, though simple yet deep and sweet. i was considering to put a fading outlay of a jigsaw puzzle and a spread of the song's lyrics. but due to time constraint i had to abandon the idea. what a waste. but its all good.

i'd like to thank Plainsunset for giving inspiration from an unexpected source. it really got me far. id like to thank the teachers who aided me and pushed me to finish all that i could in my art work. my friends who gave me suggestions and opinions that i may have applied in my work. they are all appreciated.
