if it is by any means a form of relaxation, i shall blog before i start studying.

it was my dad's birthday yesterday and i treated everyone to ice-cream at swensens. i kept thinking his birthday was on the 29th until the calendar alarm appeared. we fetched him from the airport and took the shuttle train to terminal 2 to swensens. settled down and ordered the stuff. a banana crumble, 2 coit towers, pasta, fries and more than i can't remember. i was pretty scared the bill would be over 100 bucks. im not rich you know. but to my relief it was only $87++. it was surprising for me. i had the mentality of having a portion of my savings chomped off. and having fever for a month after the bill.

familiar. had this like about a week ago. somehow, never tired of it.

in the common concept of birthdays, the one celebrating will receive presents. my dad came home and gave ME a Hugo Boss perfume. do come back home for more of your birthdays to give ME presents yeah. but he had a gift much much better from God. he showed us this ring with quite a lot of diamonds on it. he said he FOUND in in Indonesia. my dad is not one to waste on himself. and if he did 'buy' it, he would have given it to someone else. a few scratches here and there, seems to show no one bought it for him and that he really did find it. it would be too elaborate a setup if he wanted to 'season' it. he deserves it, really, for all he's done for people. a true gift from God.

as they went to my aunt's place, i went back home to study. that which for only an hour before i went to watch footie. stupid and boring matches.

this morning we woke up to a rather strange surprise. meet my newfound friend:

SCARY RIGHT!

this dude out found at the drainage at my balcony just this morning, about an hour ago. my dad found it while he was smoking outside. he called out to me and showed me the creature. its a monitor lizard, not a KOMODO DRAGON like my brother suggested. this one LIZARD only, not DRAGON okay. it was about 1 metre long, though seem otherwise in the picture so we called the police, and their trip to johor was delayed.

yay. 3 cheers to the police.

i will go study now. maybe.
