SING SONG: EYES SET TO KILL- REACH
------------------------------------------------------------------
As'salaamualaikum warahmatullahiwabarakatu
its been five days (six as of now). but heck, Eid Mubarak dear readers. Apologies to friends and family and everyone in my life. years have passed and we have come to this. i hope that we will keep and strengthen our bonds to make a world full of peace and love. (hippie moment)
anyhow its been the same usual routine this Raya. i have yet/ lazy to upload the pictures, nor have i received from cousins. met some old and new faces. its good to see and keep in contact of relatives. its like meeting someone new who you have met (makes sense?). listening to stories, sharing laughter, return back to old bullying ways. raya's been fun. i've enjoyed every single food that has entered my mouth since fasting days. i don't even remember the last time i had just water, its all been soft drinks and such. can get mabok from those F&N drinks beb. gonna die of diabetes woohoo. not to mention the mooonneeeyy. will be buying stuff, definitely. including my hopeful pay. big bucks babeh.
and just what is it with everyone messaging me Hari Raya wishes in malay. the past few days has been about the most number of times i received messages in MALAY
along the days in Raya, i met a distant uncle who is a musician. he has a wedding band and is looking for recruitments within the family. first, he asked me if could sing and when i replied he quickly changed the topic to interest of musical instruments. i explained to him i was a complete illiterate in strings so i played a little bit of drums. and he asked if i was interested in being taught keyboard or the Tabla (indian drums). this made me feel delighted. to be handed an offer is really humbling and gratifying. but with my parents on the lookout, i turned out and set education as a superior priority, which it is. that was a little something special about this Raya this year. i thanked him then and thanks again.
in the holidays the results were out and i found mine. i got an A and two Bs. i think it isn't bad for the first term. surely i could have achieved higher grades had i actually dedicate my time studying. i take it as a landmark to more improvements to come insyallah.
Raya outings with my family have been limited as my kid bro is having his PSLE. so i wish all the best Fats, get to a good school and do us proud. and to all you PSLE prats as well.
i've been trying to get Raya outings with friends. it seems that there are some difficulties on certain area and i hope we can sort it out before Raya ends. i miss my friends.
