many thanks to "someone" and "random blog hopper" for the really nice tags. i get the feeling both of them are the same person, just that after 3 tags, "random blog hopper" is tired of typing 'random', 'blog' and 'hopper' so you decided to just put "someone". hahaha. but maybe it really is 2 different entities. anyhuus, many thanks, very humbled. i really appreciate the hearty comments. just so other people know, its not ME, being a loser and by trying to make myself feel better about this sorry blog by tagging those nice words ah hahaha. i wouldn't be bothered. i'll try to keep the posts natural and amicable at best. many thanks.
so work has been pretty stale. i laze around with nothing serious to do except pick up phone calls. i do get bored at times and always try to find something to do. gone were the days i could entertain myself with drawing and stuff like that. i watched movies like 'knocked up' 'babylon AD' and half of 'death race'.
i just received news from a classmate that Travis Barker, the then Blink-182 (best punk band ever beb) and now Plus-44 drummer was involved in a plane accident. it was said that the plane had gone up into flames leaving him injured with another man survived while there were some who died in the accident. rest in peace. get well soon, Barker.
i'm imagining what happened to him. like is his skin all burned up? such a waste, he had to many tattooes on his body, he's like a walking tattoo. but then again, you know these rich people and plastic surgery. he'll make it look like the accident was just like falling off a bike. i also hope that it doesn't affect his mad drumming skills. even if it did, i think he'd still be waaaaaayyy better than my skills HAH.
i've gotten my black baju kurung. and the songket and the songkok. i'm just waiting for the slippers from my dad which he'll buy in jakarta. and during hari raya, i will look like a mat melayu muahaha. my sisters say i look like a particular old uncle of ours -.-
we got my brother his raya clothes, but i didn't notice it till we went back to my aunt's place. it was blue and the cloth was like one of a raincoat. why on earth my mum picked that, i don't know. then at night we went to the bazaar again for some other stuff. my kid bro wanted to play the basketball game and so i accompanied him. by the end of the game, Fats was sweating like he had been in an NBA match. and we didnt even have to run. aiyah, this gemuk ah.
i love nature, but these are NOT real flowers. they're made out of plastic. boohoo. but on a positive note, look how nature inspires people into creating such beautiful (though fake) things. i somehow have this feeling these natural beauties will inevitably perish so i'm getting myself to the idea of plastic flowers, artificial grass and clone siberian tigers. these are from the bazaar.
beauftiful sea of flowers
these are supposed to be huge. i was quite distant from the flowers. they're the size of my head!
beautiful black roses. cool stuff
okay. so i read the overview of " Tuesdays with Morrie" on Wikipedia. very outdated, yes i know whatever. very cheapskate, yes i know whatever. the book is a very heartfelt and touching story of teacher and student about the lessons in life. never would i imagined a person to be so appreciative of life, even in the midst of death. i learnt so much from this Morrie persona. how amazing it would have been if i met him in person. wow, what an experience. if you're reading this, i know your head still says 'outdated sia'. whatever lah. here is a beautiful quote from him:
"Opposing forces in life constantly pull us back and forth. But, inevitably, Love Always Wins"
